Working on my ladies hand, looks rather like a bunch of bananas at the moment, although in the original picture they are just as bad. It is supposed to be a comical picture, if a little weird. But that was what attracted me to it.
Slowly filling in the rest of the picture.
BORNEO.
Today we are visiting the war memorial and museum from the second world war and what was the prison camps.
Another tranquil place for reflecting on the sadness of wars, torture and humanity.
Beautiful lily ponds laid out in memory.
Stained glass window in the chapel
Map of the huts in the prison. We saw only the foundations that marked where they had been.
Unfortunately I do not have any other photo's from here.
Some more statues to be seen whilst driving on to the next place.

We also visited the mosque in Kota Kinabalu. I was given the scarf and gown all sealed up clean in a bag, to cover up the body in respect, as was law, and I was allowed to see the different areas around the mosque. A couple of places I could only stand at the door and look in, but I felt very privileged in being allowed to do this.

A really beautiful place of worship.
Next we visited the old clock tower in the town.
Then to a sister hotel in our hotel group, for a stroll around and refreshments. This has been a busy but enjoyable day. So much to see and not enough days. Just maybe, we can come back one day.
The hotels pet Toucan
Back to our hotel and looking forward to our next trip out.
GOURDS.
A couple of new designs . Can be used for pot-puree or even pens and pencils on the desk. Both have been taken down to 'That Nice Shop' down in Polis. If you are ever down that way, do pop in as there are some lovely crafts to see from everyone.
Have a good week and see you next time.
