Spots, and more spots. I am now working on her clothing. Shading in where needed for creases and tones on the materials. Not a lot more I can say.
Borneo.
The sun is slowly filtering between the leaves on the palm trees and giving a shimmering diamond sparkle to the sea.
Birds sing in the trees and I can hear a gardener singing softly to himself as he tidies around the lawn.
Already I can feel a love for this country starting. Today we are going out on one of the trips. Making sure bottled water in my bag, some extra sunscreen in case needed, floppy hat, cover up in case needed for religious purposes. Yes, we are ready to hit the road.
Our first stop the local market place. What a riot of colour and aromas from local produce, scents of herbs and the cheerfulness of the local people. There is a constant hum from voices and noises. Produce everywhere, from fresh fruit and veg, to fish flapping on the mats. Souvenirs and clothing mingle in with everything else.

We also visited the shopping mall, well one of them. huge glass buildings, modern amongst the old. Basement was like our on the street, stalls everywhere selling food and drinks. Just the place to grab a quick local meal. As you went up the different level of floors, so the goods changed. Beautiful quality clothing and household goods etc. Top floor was mainly designer gear, plush settings and all we could afford was a quick peek at very tempting designer bags, shoes oh, you name it!
We heard some of the other shopping centres were very much the same.
Stopped off for a look at one of the many Buddha's around. Worth climbing up all the steps just to greet him. anyone knowing me knows I love Buddha statues and collect them.
A lot of steps to go up to rub his stomach for luck. But you just never know!

The evening sunset bar, a great place to have your cocktail and watch that fabulous sun drop down into the sea.
Wishing you all a good week and if on holiday somewhere, enjoy.
see you next time. Remember to click on any picture to enlarge it.
