Looking at my painting it does not look like I have got that far. I took practically the whole morning just trying to get the stone looking natural. Blending in the different colours to get the right tones and shading. Some more work on the robes and gradually filling in the picture.
The end of the month and how dry we are looking everywhere. We have had fires around the country and only this last week we had one up here in Drouseia. It was down the hillside and so thankfully no real damage to anyone.
The reason for this is our fantastic firefighters that we have here. It was not that long from seeing smoke rising up into the sky and noticing it was a bush fire. the sirens and the fire engines could be heard, and because of the shift in the wind the helicopters with their water baskets hanging underneath could be heard. Our firefighters are brave and deserve our praise.
As they were flying over our house to collect their water I was able to get the pictures. Thought at one time I would be doused as it seemed to skim over the house.
Took me back a few years ago when we walked down the hill to watch two of them in perfect timing dipping into a small private dam and then dropping the water where needed. This was some fantastic flying.
Another creation with the gourds.
Remember 'Cleo' who I took down to the shop last week. It was sold to a loving home within 2 hours of being down there. I was sorry to see her go.
Hope you all have a good week and don't forget to click on any picture to enlarge it.
