Finally finished of Mary's face, as I think this is what the picture is. I have now been working on Jesus and the lamb. Trying to get the finer details in and what a job that is. No hairy whiskers in tough hide or rhino hide skin.
Next will be to sort out the hands, having said that, the pictureI am following does not have good hands either. This picture will end up with my interpretation of it.

MY LIFE BY A GOURD.

We are growing madly everywhere. Our keeper says it should be a bumper crop this year, hoping that ratty does not come back to chew any of us up.Hopefully or maybe not , we also hope to harvest before somebody buys the house as it is for sale. We will still live out here but rent this time, as we are only selling like others for financial reasons. We have had many happy years in this house and will be sad to leave.
Us gourds, we are up the trees, over the fence, and I am still a beauty, starting to change colour.
Some of us are so heavy we have to prop ourselves up on something. How the creepers hold us up I do not know, they deserve an extra soaking of water, but not on us!!

Yes, I know you were left wondering what we were going to be.

We are happy laughing

Some memories from Africa past.

Reading in the magazine the other day about Cilla Black's Blind Date show reminded me of the time we were on holiday in Mombasa and had booked to go on the dhow for a romantic meal , dance and cruise.
We were lucky enough to be there on the same dhow when a couple on the ' Blind Date Show' were also on it.
We sat chatting to the camera crew after they had finished their filming and had left the young couple to hopefully make googly eyes at each other.
I knew from seeing them it was not going to work out. We watched the show a few weeks later to see if we were right. Yes, no happy couple there!
But we had a good time and it was romantic, I made googly eyes at my husband Klaus and we raised a glass of wine to each other.

The dhow and my grilled prawns that I had.

A photo to end this weeks blog.  Paphos Harbour.
