Anything that could walk, fly, swim I would go looking out for in the garden. Any pool of water left by the rain was great for looking for tadpoles, and iridescent skimming beetles which would end up in a casserole dish or best vase to swim. My mother must have despaired of me at times, let alone our servants. There would quite often be a yell as a hand was placed on something creepy!! Praying Mantis were considered unlucky as was the chameleon as their eyes always followed you around. But being a child, the biggest ones I could find was always better! And a chameleon with horns, that was the icing on the cake. Never less to say they always ended up being put back in the garden!! A child's woe!

Filling on and a touch up here and there as I continue to fill in the foreground. A bush here and there and some broken branches, and there is a completed picture.
Just have to get it framed, then on the wall for sale.
Now to choose the next picture!
Do join me again next week.
