At the back of one of our house that we lived in our garden backed onto the forest. I used to love playing out there, under the swaying trees and all the vines hanging around. Could practise swinging like Tarzan, and building dens into the hollows in the trees. As a child I think I must have been fearless as to what might have been hiding in the undergrowth. Having said that our gardener was always within calling distance and I am sure kept a beady eye out for me.
Occasionally you would see a wild pig snuffling along the bank of the little stream that ran through part of the area. It was only deep enough for a tadpole, but fun to fish in anyway. My friends and I had happy times sailing leaf boats down it.  If we heard the pigs, which was rare, then you made sure you scurried off  This was something that you did keep away from, their tusks were rather nasty.thankfully they made enough noise you could hear them from quite a distance away, and I never ventured that far in.

I know this is a warthog,  just a larger version of the wild pig's.

Just brought back my framed elephant picture. Very pleased with it, so I will now hang it up, so as we can enjoy it before  I take it down to the shop to sell.

I am going to be doing 2 pictures this time. One of our dog charlie, and another of a stormy sea scene which will be in acrylic.
Charlie, will be pastels, which I will do down at the shop, and the other picture at home in case I get messy with the paint!!

Do catch up with me next week.
