As you probably have noticed I have a great passion for elephants. When Dad was out on safari  for work, and we were able to go with him, the thrill and fear of seeing these majestic lumbering creatures. In Uganda in those days they had some really big tuskers.
We would listen out for them in the trees and then slowly get nearer. Mum would be warning him not to get too near, and I can remember feeling scared in a good way,  Dad thankfully always kept the engine running, as we have several times had to make a hasty retreat. From the elephants point of view, a flap of the ears and a small charge made silly people like us leave them in peace to chomp away at the vegetation.

These are ellie's from Kenya on our last holiday out there.

Here is just one of the many paintings

I have made a start as you can see and thoroughly enjoying myself. Just have to remember to stop dipping the paint brush into my coffee instead of the water jar!

Hope you all have a good week
