Travelling back in time to when we lived in Africa.
Having been brought up out there for most of my childhood life, I still hold a special place for it in my heart.
I know we have  many fond memories and seen some sad and horrific things out there, but I still love the country.

Dear Julianna my nanny, with one of Mum's favourite dogs. Mum always loved the dachshunds

Down below I loved going to the hot springs when Dad was on safari. he would take us sometimes when he was checking on vehicles that had broken down, or to oversee work being done. visiting the hot sprigs was fun as a child. to drop an egg into a pool of hot water and have it cooked for you in a couple of minutes. We would stay for a day or two at one of the camps. Lots of exploring to do, insects and lizards to find!
Even grown up I still look for them, but more now with a camera.

Mum and  rescued baby elephant.

It was this life that inspired me into painting mainly African life.

Have  been busy on my picture and it is coming along.  Only now have to finish off the elephant and then complete the foreground.  Hopefully another week or so and it will be finished.

Looking forward to seeing this one hanging up.
