Here we go again, another lot of heavy grafting on the house. We thought we had come out to retire and take it easy, but no, it's back to some heavy labouring.
We now have our steps and fencing to the front of the house. I have to say Klaus working all on his own has done a magnificent job. Several of the local villagers have come to watch him at work and seemed amazed that he has not taken on somebody to do the heavy grafting. An english man doing the work himself, something to scratch your head over, and maybe talk about over a coffee in their local taverna.
Old steps |
Now the flowers have grown to complete the area.
The next big project is the
driveway.
At the moment it is very uneven and goes down in steps so as when you reverse you cannot see any drive behind you and I like to see where I am going.
This we knew was going to be hard. Once the concrete was poured Klaus would have to smooth it all out in more or less one go, otherwise we would be back to lumps to drive over.

Work in progress |
After, a nice smooth drive |
Another item taken off the to-do list, slowly we are getting there.
This was certainly a back breaking job doing the driveway, but a job that had to be done. gradually we are getting there.
Do join me next week to see what we are getting up to.
This weeks picture.
The view down to the sea from the garden |
As you can see this week I have been a busy bee. I have managed to finished off the picture.I will now have to find a place on the wall for it. You never know someone might fancy buying a picture one day.
