17/3/2018

Back to normal this week. I missed not doing it last week, but did not feel up to it. I have filled in some more of the leaves and some of the ground covering and finally, have started the first magpie.
Although they look like most of the feathers are black, there are several colours that go into to it to make up that glossy sheen on the feathers. More work to be done! Next will be the eye, have to get that crafty glint in it just right. We have these birds coming down for breakfast in the morning in the garden, and they are really comical to watch. Thankfully they have never gone for any eggs in nests in nearby bushes laid by the smaller birds around.

House martins have now arrived out here, so summer is on the way. Trees are bursting out in bloom
