I have not got very far yet, there is a lot of blending to do, especially as I want to achieve that dark background but with hints of colour.
MY LIFE BY A GOURD.
Had to come back this week. An explosion of gourds has happened here in our garden.
Suddenly from out of nowhere, my family has started sprouting up everywhere. Must be this hot weather we have been having. One vine that looks dead, where my cousin is growing, now has 7 gourds hanging on it. Another has some starting right at the top of the yucca palm tree. what a prickly and dicey place to try and grow. I wish that cousin some luck. That is going to be some skillful climbing up the ladder to get that one down!
It really is a little one, you
have to look closely.
One of the previous ones you saw now has to sit on it's own little shelf as it is getting too heavy.
Baby ones as well
'Gourds, gourds, glorious gourds'
But I will still be the best one.
A picture for the week.
Where this all began, learning to carve the traditional way. Now Klaus does the carving and creating, I found it too hard on the wrists. The rest we do together.
Wishing you all a good week and remember to click on any picture to enlarge it.
See you next time.
