I have spent nearly the whole morning's art correcting our ladies face. With a little chatting going on as well. The features are so small I had to do it mainly under a magnitying glass. Not easy when I already wear specs, but I think I have nearly got there.Just a little more attention to the mouth. May have to touch up a little another day when not having spots in front of the eyes!
Next will be the challenge of the baby and going across to the lamb, whilst filling in the background as I come to it.
MY LIFE BY A GOURD.
Who would believe it! I now have two cousins growing right next to me, and they are getting big.
Thankfully I am still the big one.
Remember the little one at the top of the yucca palm, now look at it and another growing there as well.
Caught you again with the camera this time. But watch out we do not want you around. Go and eat some wild figs from the trees in the field next door.
My master has been busy, he was commissioned to do another one of the gourd hanging baskets, and while he was at it, he made this as well. Beautiful with a small candle in it. Clever old thing isn't he.
I painted a picture of one of these carob rats some time ago.
A couple of new gourds gone down to 'That Nice Shop' in Polis where I work a couple of mornings a week.
Looking at one of my photos of a few years ago which I painted. I can remember when we used to drive through the Queen Elizabeth Game Park and we we see large herds of elephant, some with massive tusks. In those days you would quite often see a trampled vehicle on the dirt road where one had taken a grudge against the driver. With the flapping of ears and snorting going on, you nearly always had time to get out. You never stopped and turned off the car engine to watch them like you would now. It was kept running in case of a quick exit needed.
Now herds are smaller and like everything used to having traffic of some kind around.
Elephants are still one of my favourite animals and I could watch them for hours, and yes, love painting them as well.
Stay safe and have a good week.
