An early breakfast before we hit the road. After a short drive we reach the small airstrip where the plane will fly us up to the next park the Masai Mara.
We all hustle aboard, only a few seats and grab a window seat. The chance to see the vastness of the country from the air, there is nothing like it. We flew into the first camp to unload a couple of tourists, we were going onto the next camp.  This is rather like an exclusive taxi service. But what a spectacular sight the land is from the air. Black dots of what are animals, the odd patch of green and a shimmer of the river winding its way through the scorched land. Our hearts had been in our mouths on coming into land, a herd of elephants standing on the short dirt runway, and some zebras not far off. After a buzz at them they grudgingly moved themselves off the strip and we bounced in. A lone African stood with a hand fire extinguisher just in case!
Soon we were bouncing along in the landrover to our new camp. This was real safari camp, no fences and animals could walk right in. At night you had a guard to escort you to and fro from your hut to the main camp.We did find a nice present from an elephant on our doorstep.Luckily it was light so we did not step into it!! Phew!
Our usual neighbours, getting used to them now!
A freshen up in sight and looking forward to a walk around the camp.
Never knew which guest you would meet up with in the dinning area. First come first served for mealtimes.
