I would like to wish Elena a speedy recovery in hospital.

Walking along the promenade down in Paphos is always a pleasure. You see people of all shapes and sizes enjoying themselves. The water along here seems to be very clear these days and you can look down and watch the fish. At some of the waterfront restaurants you can sit and have your meal and drop bread into the sea at your side and watch the fish.
There are boats of all kinds moored along here. Fishing boats and you can watch the catch being unloaded. Fresh to your plate. Pleasure cruisers, glass bottom boats, pirate ships which take you out for a trip, you can even get married on one, or have your reception on them. Then come the big private owned yachts. Would have to win the lottery to own one of these!! Scuba diving lessons are held down here as well. You see people waddling along in their scuba suits, and getting ready to go exploring. Walking around is not that comfortable I can tell you. When I wore one it was rather like I imagine being a chicken wrapped up in it's cellophane bag, ready for roasting.Or maybe a sausage being squeezed into it's skin!

There are some beautiful views from the top of Paphos Fort, just don't go up if you don't like heights! I was half dragged up by grand-children and I am sure I left my stomach down in the dungeon somewhere. I have never liked heights.
Every year they hold one of the opera's here with the backdrop of the fort. I have not been to one, but have heard it is well worth going to. For us living here, maybe next year.

This weeks picture,is of our feral cats kittens. Can't help but love them

             -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you will forgive me this week, but we had a dear friend visiting for the week, so did not do any painting.
I will be back to normal for the next blog. My boat is still resting on it's blocks ready for being seen to.
See you next week.
I have however had two pictures printed onto canvas,100 x70 which I have to say look fantastic. The detail that gets shown up really bring the paintings alive. Makes me really impressed with them myself. Many thanks to  www.mandoraprint.com                                      .
If anybody is interested in buying a picture this way do get in touch with me.

Don't forget to click on any picture to enlarge it if wanted.
