What a week it has been. Selling the house and signing forms, luckily we don't have to move just yet. Now the hunt is on for a rental property.
Getting back to art, luckily I managed to find a little time to do some this week. Started on the face of, well, not sure if it is a fox, or something else, I will just make up as I go along. Never know it will probably end up half rabbit, half elephant!! ha ha.

Last night in bed I was thinking about my blog and what to write. On hearing a plane going over took me back to a birthday treat my daughters bought for me.
Where we lived there was a airport nearby, which had closed to commercial planes, only freight was coming in, but there was a flying school based there.
I had a trial flight bought for me.
The first part of the morning, was paperwork, regulations and safety procedures before being led out to a small 4 seater plane, along with two other men.
I was the first one to sit in the cockpit, all donned up with earphones etc, with the pilot next to me.
The pilot of course had to take off whilst explaining everything to me, then we were up in the air. Fantastic, once levelled off I took control of the plane,  'With you have control, and replying 'I have control' and was allowed to fly, asked not to do loop the loop, but could move around and circle and dip the wings. The thrill of up in that open space, seeing for miles and the rush it gave you.  With the other two also trying, we got to take off and land several times.  It really was an experience of a lifetime.
I would have loved to carry on and learn to fly, but unlike the two men who were training, I at least had a certificate in my hand which stated I had a half hours flying time which could be used  towards a pilot's licence.  Would love to have a go in a fighter jet.

'Maybe one day, an oldie can dream'

That's it for this week, take care and see you next time.
