Gradually getting the feel for the texture of the horns. A slow progress this is going to be.
A friend who also follows my blog was not sure what a mouflon was so here is the picture I took from the internet to try.
My photo's I took only have the younger ones and the big boy moved before I could snap the picture. Managed to find one, but our photo programme has hidden my other picture somewhere, and can I find it! No!!
Whilst scrolling through what seemed like hundreds of photo's looking for just one, came across some local goats. you see them everywhere, but I still enjoy seeing them.
Reminds me of the one I had as a child out in Africa, which my father bought me after winning the cricket match and celebrating at the clubhouse. He was in a extra kindly mood and stopped at the roadside going home and bought me a tiny black and white kid goat. My mother was not very amused when we arrived home with it, droppings all over the car seat and me. We were both banned out into the garden.
He grew quickly into a big goat, as they do, well he was a pet and well cared for, and paid that back by always eating the best blooms on the flowers and any shrub it could spy. My poor mother despaired at her roses being chomped away.
I was later persuaded to exchange it with some lovely chickens our gardener had, and he took the goat back to his small village where his family lived.
So cute!
