This is our last day on safari. what a lovely time we have had. We start the day with breakfast by a hippo pool, hope they stay in the water, don't fancy having to move off quickly with a plate of food and a mug of tea in my hands!

Probably going to be our last elephant, and then we are on our way to find a rhino.
Wow, what a prehistoric animals these are. Rough plate looking hides, and a nasty little twinkle in the eye. These two are being watched in case of poachers, but who has to get in close, well I am a bit of a daredevil. How else can you get a decent close up picture!!

Stopped to check out the road, getting rather muddy and don't want to get stuck in the mud for too long. Some more animals out to say their farewells to us. We have been very lucky in seeing practically everything on this trip except the leopard. It was around but out of sight.

What an end to this trip. Lions having a drink at the river. This has really made our trip here really special.

This is farewell to Africa, and from me as well. This is the last blog. I have been doing it now for several years and would like to thank all my followers and friends who have been with me.

On the art side of things, I have admitted defeat on my acrylic picture of the house and walled garden. I just could not get it right. Straight lines with brushes that wiggle about. Will have to practise more later on. In the meantime I am doing the same picture in pastels. I will still  show how it is getting along on the blog, till the picture it is finished.
In the meantime,
