Do hope that you are all well and hopefully having some nice weather wherever you are in the world.
Thought today we would go out for a mornings trip on one of the glass bottom boat with our visitors. Klaus had his brother and wife visiting, and hopefully we might see some fish. I know when we were out in africa and went out to the reef we saw some beautiful fish. I still prefer to snorkel as that is still the best way to see the sea life
We set off from Latchi harbour and soon had a packed boat. People soon started hanging over the rails to admire the view as we coasted along the akamas shoreline. Gulls and the odd heron could be seen sitting on rocks and others diving into the water to catch fish.
The scenery along this side of the coast which you can only get to by boat is very pretty. Little coves and bays that small boats can get into for you to laze away a few hours.
We were going to stop off at the 'Blue Lagoon as it is known for its beautiful blue, turquoise water that you can look right down to the bottom. This is the best place to come to snorkel and dive.
Our boat for the morning
Hotels along the coast, lazy days ahead
We had a lovely morning sailing along the coast, and when we anchored for the hour, sat and watched the others jumping into the water to have their swim and snorkel. I thought about it, but the idea of struggling into costumes in a little galley with others queing up in a hurry to get to the water, decided I would give this time a miss. Afraid we saw very little through the glass bottom. It was far better looking over the side of the boat from the deck to watch shoals of fish swimming by. One of the deckhands threw some bait in and in a flash there were hundreds of little fish, he was hoping to catch something bigger on his line but was out of luck this time. Did not manage to catch a swimmer either!
Time to get back and I think a lazy afternoon in the garden is called for.A dip in the spa and then to end the day a nice BBQ. Not forgetting that cold beer and glass of wine. Cheers!
Time to get the old BBQ on ready for the evening meal. All hands at the ready to help.
Picture for the week

To friends who have been asking, yes, the picture is now finished.
I filled in the background which I have left simple. I tidied up the area around the boat, and twiggled a bit here and there on the boat itself.
Might just leave a print of the picture on the boat for it's owner. This would look nice copied onto canvas as a larger picture. Might think about it for the exhibition if I put something in.
'The Rosemary' |
Now I have to find another project. See you next week.
I think the owner of the Rosemarie would LOVE the picture you have done
