The birds are chirping away in the tree next to the bedroom, time to get up and see a bit of life out here.
We spent our honeymoon, all of a week-end here at the hotel at the lake. When we arrived there the manager was very sorry but they did not have a key to our room. It had been mislaid ,but hopefully they would find it, in the meantime he would put a watchman outside our room. Dutifully that evening a little wizened old african, loin cloth around his body and a sleeping mat, turned up outside our room and with his trusty knobkerry held out in front of him ( a knobkerry is a local thick stick with a big round knob with nails in it at the end.) You would no want to get hit with that!
He assured us he would sit outside all night and keep us safe!! Yes, you guessed it , any little noise and he would call out' You alright Missy, Master, I here for you!' and bang on our door. No noise from us that night. Thankfully we were moved to a different room the next day which did have a key, only to have the guest in the next room die that night and could we help his wife. 'Blissful honeymoon to remember.'

The background mosaic was put up by Klaus long before I knew him, whilst he was working for the mission. This mosaic was designed in Italy, but most of the individual tiles had been water damaged along the way and needed to be reassembled. This was one very large jigsaw puzzle. But what a spectacular piece.

Picture for this week, not African, but has a beach theme.

Now to catch up on the art side.
More colours blended in, although it may not show that much has been done since last week, but I have been busy. Also a little more blending in amongst the foliage, you always see something else that could have a little more work to it.
You two haven't changed a bit (except for the hair maybe!!)
