This week we decided to try and do a lizard. Had just the right stone for it, so Klaus prepared it with a base coat.
A lot of rummaging around amongst our many collected stones and pebbles to find some coloured ones. Had thought about doing a skeleton lizard first, but then we decided on a proper one.
The right shapes for the different parts of the body.
First we laid it out on paper, then onto the stone, where it was glued into place, stone by stone.
Varnished as it will be outside, and have to say rather impressed with it.
And to finish off, some pebbles on this piece of old grape vine wood, a great ladder for the sparrows to sit on!
GOURDS.
Klaus has even found time to make a new gourd lamp. Will be down at 'That Nice Shop' in Polis where we still exhibit some of our crafts.
That's all for this week. Have a few ideas for the next project.
Stay safe and see you next time.
