Cyprus at the moment is gripped in a right old heatwave. Hopefully it will help kill the virus and any other sickness bugs around.
I have always had a love for animals and all kind of  wildlife, and bug life, except ticks, those I hate.
Much to my amazement last night, getting ready for bed, I noticed a lovely large tarantula sitting near the bed. Well the fun and games started trying to catch this thing. No way, was I going to bed with that in the room, and can they move, this thing scuttled everywhere whilst we tried to catch it in the dustpan. Thought at one time it was going to jump up onto the sheet under the mattress.' That would have been fun then!!  Finally caught and put out into the field.

Not my picture, too busy catching it to photograph the thing. But just like this.

Reminded me of when I was at boarding school in Kenya, we would go out into the playing fields and find a tarantula burrow and tease one out with a leaf or something. When it jumped out we would leap back and keep our distance. These ones had a nasty bite. Must say we never hurt one, and thankfully never got bitten.
Wondered if this one was a ghost paying me back from those days.

With this very hot weather, have to be careful with the pastels and hot hands. Managed some more on the picture, but will have to find a cooler place to do art.

Take care and stay safe.
